AJ’s Help The Needy Donates To Okrakwadjo Mosque

Prayers being said after the donation

As part of Eid-ul-Fitr celebration, Aj’s Help The Needy Project (AJHTNP), a non-governmental organisation, has donated some items to Okrakwadjo Mosque in the Okere District.

The items donated include prayer mat, prayer kettle, prayer beads (Tasbihs), water, soft drinks and biscuits.

Founder of the AJHTNP, Anita Opoku-Appiah, said donating to the mosque is to boost unity and also to champion the need to live in harmony with one another.

She urged the Muslim community to live peacefully and see each other as one people with common goals.

According to her, religious division must be a thing of the past since we are one people with common goals. “Being a Muslim doesn’t mean you are an enemy to a Christian or any religious body and this is why the AJHTNP is not bias but with the aim to benefit anyone in need,” she said.

She also charged them to inculcate the act of kindness and oneness in the children since they are the future leaders.

The Imam of the Mosque, Alhaji Abdul Razak Abdulla, thanked the team for their donation and sought Allah’s protection over their lives.

“We are very happy for these donations, we pray Allah blesses you to continue to do more for us and others,” he said.

He further made a call that whenever possible, the AJHTNP should continually support the community in whichever way they can.

Aj’s Help The Needy Project is a non-governmental organisation which solicits for items and funds to donate to the less privileged in the society.
